So be it

A cross stitch I made for my kitchen
Throughout my life, I've endured the shameless teasing of friends and family that I am an old lady even at my tender age.  This might be due to the fact that I began cross-stitching at the age of 8 and have always enjoyed an early bedtime.  I think the past few years have taken my old ladiness over the top, though.  I've learned to crochet (so fun and addicting), started drinking a lot more tea, and wearing a robe and slippers around the house.

You know what I've decided?  The reason old ladies do all these things is because they're finally at the age where they decide they don't care what anyone thinks and embrace the fun and comforting things in life.  They know how to live.  So, if I'm being compared to an old lady, that, to me, just means that I'm cozy, well rested, and making a lot of cool things.

Do you have any old lady (or old man) habits or hobbies?  I want to hear about them!

  3. Haha, Jo Beth, that doesn't surprise me. I miss your doodles, too.

Thanks, Verity! I can't remember if I've shared it before or not, but it was exciting to finish it. :)

  4. Alright, I know I have old lady tendencies I just can't think of them right now... I like to crochet but haven't for a while. I like to sew. I wear a robe and nightgown some days way longer than I should, although that may have more to do with being a new mom than being an old lady. Either way, you should do what makes you happy. That's that!
