Last week, I set some weekly goals. They were as follows:
- Exercise for 6 days out of the week.
- Try a new hairstyle.
- Try one skin care recipe.
I was able to exercise for 5 out of the 6 days and actually enjoyed it (although core exercises were so difficult)! My hair style turned out cute! I got the
idea from a picture I saw on
craftgawker. I didn't do exactly the same thing as Katie, the girl from the photo, but I still like the way it turned out.

Also, I've been reading
passionate homemaking and am currently obsessed with this blog. Anyway, she talks about using coconut oil for a lot of different things, and one of the things she uses it as is a moisturizer. So, I've been trying that out for my skin care recipe. So far I love it. I was a little leery of trying an oil on my blemish prone face, but so far it hasn't caused any blemishes.

Then, this morning, I was feeling particularly adventurous and tried one of the skin care recipes from the book I told you about last week. It worked absolutely beautifully! I was so impressed! All it took was some aspirin and some lime juice and I had a scrub very similar to the Mary Kay Microdermabrasion that I used to use. I highly recommend trying some homemade recipes. It costs pennies and you'll know exactly what ingredients are in it with out having to pick apart and google each ingredient.
Hope you all have a lovely week!
