Healthy habits

Okay, before I say anything else I want to let you all know that I organized my bedroom closet, the monster of all organizing projects, and it looks awesome!  I took before and after photos, but I'm having technical difficulties, so be looking out for that post in the next few days.

I want to share a few fitness/getting in shape tools I've been using in the past two weeks.  First, I received the Kinect game Your Fitness Evolved for my birthday, and I absolutely love it!  It's exactly what I wanted.  Here's a video to show you what it's like:

I get bored with exercise easily, so this is a way that I can mix it up each time if I want.  I have tried almost everything on the game now, and so far my favorite is the cardio kick boxing.

Also, I use sparkpeople a lot.  I think I talked some about sparkpeople briefly, but it's a wonderful tool.  It's free and allows you to track nutrition, fitness, weight, and goals.  It even comes up with meal plans, complete with a grocery list, if you desire.  I don't go with this option because of my gluten intolerance.  It often has wholegrain bread or oatmeal as part of the plan, and I can't eat that.  It's a wonderful option, though.  Easier for people on the go that don't have time to sit down and plan their meals.  Here's my sparkpage.

So far I've lost 1.2 lbs.  I'm not as concerned about the weight as I am about how my body is responding to my program.  I am starting to be able to tell that I'm consistently working out.  My tummy is getting flatter (HALLELUJAH!) and I'm just starting to really like what I see in the mirror.  So, the minuscule amount of pounds lost doesn't bother me.

What do you do to stay healthy?

Have a great week!
